Tour de Bottlecraft

Please join us in commemorating our fifth anniversary by going on a bike-tour of all three Bottlecraft locations! Bicyclists of all ability and experience welcome! Special beers to be tapped upon arrival at each successive location!

Five years ago, the first Bottlecraft opened its doors in the historic neighborhood of Little Italy. Three years ago, it was joined by its sister location in bustling North Park. Just a few short months ago, the Liberty Station outpost was unveiled within the Liberty Public Market complex on the peninsula of Point Loma. We invite all and sundry to visit all three locations on two wheels this upcoming Saturday the 11th!

Route:

(Click the "legs" for Google Maps)

First Leg

The first leg of our ride is 4.3 miles long, almost all of which is along a protected bike-path behind the airport. This segment is completely flat, with no hills to speak of.

Second Leg

The second leg is a bit longer at 5.6 miles, with a firm but gradual ascent towards the beginning, plateauing off as we cross through Hillcrest, and then a smaller and shorter climb into University Heights. The total altitude-difference is about 350 feet. We will make use of two pedestrian footbridges along the way, one of which will require a dismount.

The total length of the inaugural Tour de Bottlecraft comes out to almost exactly ten miles. Please join us for just one leg if you prefer, or both!

Schedule:

11am: Meet at Bottlecraft Liberty Public Market as it opens for the day.

12pm: Depart Liberty Public Market as a group.

12:30pm (or thereabouts): Arrive at Bottlecraft Little Italy! Upon touching down, a very special keg of sour beer from Belgium will be tapped to mark the occasion!

2pm: Depart Little Italy as a group.

2:45pm-ish: Arrive at Bottlecraft North Park! A special keg will be tapped to welcome the riders in!

This is meant to be a fun ride, at whatever speed feels comfortable. Please note that you can participate in one leg or the other as you see fit, or both! We encourage the use of helmets, staying well-hydrated and safe consumption.

See you all Saturday!
